Over the last few months, Stampin' Up! has been welcoming the Close to my Heart family and it's been exciting to start thinking about scrapbooking a bit more! I have done a lot of scrapbooking over the years, but it has been awhile since I've gone all in on a 12x12 layout.
I thought that it would be fun to share how I broke down the steps I took to create these pages.

Here are my quick 5 steps to creating a simple layout with any of your favourite suites from Stampin' Up!. This first page is made with the Unbounded Suite.
Choose a base layout. I used a 10x10 piece of DSP with a small cardstock detail on a white base.
Photo focal point. Start with one photo as the focal point of your page. I added in a couple small photos on this page once I had my main photo.
Add interest! Use Stampin' Up!'s new Ephemera Packs to add some details, or create your own with the dies and stamps in the suite you're using.
Add words or title. On these pages, I chose to use the sentiments that came with the stamp set to add some words to the page.
Embellish! Don't forget to add twine, ribbon & gems to finish off your page.
Did you notice something with those tips? They apply to card making too! Don't be overwhelmed by all the ideas out there. Sometimes, you can just take it step by step and create a beautiful project!
Here is another idea using the same steps with the Mediterranean Blooms Suite.
