I had completed a pile of thank you cards the other day and had a pile of scraps left over from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper sitting on my desk. I noticed how all the lovely patterns on the one side work so well together and knew that I wanted to create a card with them!
They are such pretty colours together; Blushing Bride, Pale Papaya and Daffodil Delight. All the patterns are quite soft so I decided to pair these colours with Basic Grey. You can layer up your scraps to any size really, whatever you have lying around! The dimensions of mine are all 4" long and then the width from top to bottom is: 1", 1 1/2", 1", 1" and 1 1/4". I kind of like the way it looks when they are all a bit different. The strip of Basic Grey cardstock on the edge is 1/2" x 5 1/2".
The flowers and the sentiment are also both stamped in Basic Grey. The flowers are cut out with the Penned Flowers Dies. The sentiment and the cute lacy detail below it, both come from the Painted Labels Dies, which are definitely one of my favourite die sets. I was trying to think of what ribbon would look good with these colours and remembered that I had just received the Simply Elegant Trim, which comes in both gold and silver. The silver was just perfect! To keep the simple colour scheme going, I added some gems from the Elegant Faceted Gems pack.
