Well, I know that here in Canada it has been one crazy cold and snowy month of February! So I have decided to live in denial and create paper crafts that make me think of spring and summer instead!😎
So, come join me this week as I share a few card ideas using Stampin' Up!'s Beautiful Bokeh Suite, specifically the 'Beautiful Butterflies' Bundle. Remember, if you'd like to see the video, I've got the full replay of my YouTube Live down below.
Card 1
What really grabbed my attention for this butterfly bundle was the size of the largest butterfly image. It's wing span is actually about 4"!🦋 This makes it easy to create one large focal point for your card.
Here I've stamped the largest butterfly in 'Petunia Pop' and then added a bit of colour to the wings using my Blending Brushes.
I love this colour combo of Petunia Pop, Daffodil Delight & Misty Moonlight.
The 'Beautiful Bokeh' DSP makes such a lovely backdrop. It's really so versatile, you'll love using it for the butterflies and more.
Card 2
One of the awesome dies in this bundle is the one that you can create a card with! Who doesn't want a butterfly shaped card?!
Be sure to watch the video replay to learn how to use this die. It's easier than you think!
You can stamp the background of the butterfly and also cut out the detailed image to add some depth.
The DSP uses Berry Burst, but I've been in a Petunia Pop mood, so that's what I've gone with here. It's a colour that looks fantastic with Bubble Bath, so it also works with the 'Beautiful Bokeh' DSP.
Card 3
This card is similar to one I made for my Catalogue Launch Party, but in a different colour combo of Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.
Did you know yellow is my favourite colour? 💛 It's actually hard to work it into cards sometimes, so I kinda love how this one turned out!
This card shows off all the fun of the 'Beautiful Butterflies' Hybrid Embossing Folder & Dies. Basically, you can emboss and cut out the large butterfly all at the same time. So cool!
