Fun & Easy Colouring Ideas with Sale-a-Bration's 'Corner in Bloom' Stamp Set

Writer's picture: loritamariecraftsloritamariecrafts

This week I have another fun Sale-a-Bration product that you can earn for free with a $150 purchase until the end of February! The 'Corner in Bloom' Stamp Set caught my eye right away, I just loved all the different flower images in it!

But, I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed at first with how I would make a card with it and how I would colour in the images. So, I started off by stamping all the images in black and then decided to colour them with a variety of ways . . . all of them simple and easy for you to recreate! The replay of my YouTube Live is below to get exact instructions.

Stampin' Up! Mixed Media Florals Suite Collection

Stampin' Blends

My favourite way to colour right now is with Stampin' Blends. Here's a couple tips for you.

  • Don't be intimidated by these markers. Just colour in with your favourite colours and don't worry too much about shading if you don't want to. I usually colour in the Light shade first, add a bit of the Dark shade here and there and then go back with the Light to blend them together.

  • If you don't have any Blends yet, I recommend to start with a pink/purple, a yellow and a green. Then at least you can colour some flowers! Then you can build up your collection from there.

Watercolour Pencils/Wink of Stella

To make it even simpler than Stampin' Blends, you can grab either or both of the Watercolour Pencils sets and just colour like you would in any colouring book!

  • They look really great on Crumb Cake cardstock too!

  • You could also combine the pencils with the 'Blending Pens' for a different look.

Now of course, you could also watercolour with them 😂, but I really struggle with watercolouring so I'm always looking for ways to get around it! So my next easy tip is colour with your 'Wink of Stella'!

Blending Brushes

Last, but not least, you can create a background of colour with Blending Brushes. I think this might actually be my favourite!

  • I stamped my flowers first, but you could colour first and stamp on top if you like too. I started with Fresh Freesia lightly around, added some Highland Heather and finished off with Boho Blue. So pretty!

  • Don't forget you can watch the YouTube Live replay below to see exactly how to do this.
