Handmade Beach Bag Card with Matching Beach Bag Gift Packaging

This week I'm taking a break from my weekly live video on YouTube, so I thought that it would be fun to share some projects that I made for my Summer Splash Craft Bash this past July. I love hosting events as this is where I can have a bit of fun with creating something different and special for those who attend!

Stampin' Up! Beach Bag card idea. Unbounded Beauty DSP.

This card was a special thank you for those who ordered the Class to Go. The Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and Stampin' Up!'s 2024-2026 In Colors were the perfect products for a summer themed class. To create the beach bag, I cut out a piece of DSP to 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"and then cut the sides at an angle to create the look of a bag. I added 2 strips of Glimmer Paper in Petunia Pop at 3/8" x 2 1/4", then tucked a bit of gold ribbon behind to look like straps.

Then you can fill your beach bag with whatever you like! First, I made a little notebook from DSP & Glimmer Paper. I also really wanted to add sunglasses and flip-flops, so I was able to cut these out on my Cricut. The sentiment comes from a past Paper Pumpkin Stamp, which was absolutely perfect! (I LOVE my stash of Paper Pumpkin stamps, you just never know when they'll come in handy!).

For the in person event, I stepped it up a bit and made a 3D beach bag! I don't have a perfect tutorial for it (I didn't actually write down my dimensions anywhere😬), but I first created a cardstock base for the inside to give it some structure. Then I wrapped a 4 1/2" tall piece of DSP around the base of the bag. The beautiful Petunia Pop ribbon was wrapped around the top to give it a finished look. The Natural Polka Dot Trim was just the perfect look for the handles.

Then, again, just fill it with whatever goodies you like! I added a sheet of Dimensionals, an embellishment and some summer juice crystals.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these projects, they were so fun to make! I'll be back next week on YouTube with another live video!
