Saturday Blog Hop: Trim It Down

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Last week we had fun going a little over the top with our cards and this week our challenge was to pair it down and keep it minimal. I gotta say, it was so hard not to add a bit of twine or gems to this card! 😄

To keep it simple, I just chose to use 2 colours, Summer Splash & Azure Afternoon, on a white card base. Instead of using any DSP, I created a simple background by stamping the word happy from the 'Love This Moment' Stamp Set, alternating between the 2 colours.

To help it pop off the card a bit, I added a mat of Azure Afternoon behind this piece.

The same sentiment was heat embossed in white on Azure Afternoon cardstock and cut out with the Spotlight on Nature Dies. The 'birthday' comes from the 'Simply Said' Stamp Set and was heat embossed on Summer Splash. And that was it! Simple, but fun!
