Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! This week is our last for a Valentine's theme and we were to make a card for our favourite Valentine💝. I was trying to think of a card that would be fun to give to my husband and I knew that coffee and donuts would be perfect! It gave me a good excuse to pull out my 'More Than Autumn' Bundle . . . it's just such a fun set!
Materials Used
These were the main inspiration for my card:
DSP: A Little Latte DSP. It's still available and one of my favourites! I'm actually obsessed with the pattern that I've used on this card😍☕️.
Colour Combo: Berry Burst, Black, Brown & White
Bundle: 'More Than Autumn'.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Card Base:
Cut Thick Basic White cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".
Cut Berry Burst Cardstock to 3 3/4" x 5".
Cut DSP to 3 3/8" x 4 7/8".
Decorative Elements:
Punch out a circle (2 3/8" punch) from the Berry Burst pattern in the 'Beautiful Bokeh' DSP. Add to card with Dimensionals.
Stamp 2 coffee cups in Memento Tuxedo Black. Stamp little heart on the sleeve.
Colour the sleeve with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.
Colour the heart with Berry Burst Stampin' Blends.
Cut out with coordinating die.
Stamp 2 more cups. Fussy cut out just the top portion of the cup to make a lid!
Add cups to card with Stampin' SEAL.
Stamp donut. Colour with Bronze & Ivory Stampin' Blends. Cut out and add to card.
Sentiment:
I used this 'Love You' from the 'Friends for Life' Stamp Set. It's heat embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock and cut to size. Add to card with SEAL and dimensionals.
This is going to be perfect to have a little coffee date with my hubby for Valentine's!💝
