Hello! Thanks for joining us on the Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop! We're continuing on with our colour themed cards based on a song title and this week the inspiration was "Blue Bird". I've been trying to make a few cards here and there that aren't all about flowers (it's so hard when all the flower stamp sets are so awesome!), so I felt like this card could be a great masculine card for the guys in your life or even for kids too!
The base of the card is a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock layered on Tahitian Tide cut at 3 7/8" x 5 1/8". Next was having fun with circles! The new Stylish Shapes Dies have lots of different sizes for you. I cut 2 out in Pacific Point, 2 in Night of Navy and 2 in Tahitian Tide Designer Series Paper. I added texture to the circles that were cut out in cardstock by using the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders.
I love this bold font from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set. It was heat embossed in white on Crumb Cake cardstock and then I decided to crumple up the cardstock a bit to add a bit more texture to the card. Once I added the Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots, the card was ready to go.
