Saturday Blog Hop: Casing Connie 2025

Writer: loritamariecraftsloritamariecrafts

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! This is our very last week of casing each other's cards! We are finishing off with featuring Connie and when I saw this card from last year I knew it was the one! It is so cute and I'm obsessed with the colour combo, so bright and fresh!

Stampin' Up!

I tried to keep the basics of the layout the same while using the 'Beautiful Butterflies' Bundle. I loved the way she layered all the citrus with leaves and added in some background colour. This was a fun one to make!

Materials Used

These were the main inspiration for my card:

  • Colour Combo: Peach Pie, Lemon Lime Twist & Daffodil Delight

  • Bundle: Beautiful Butterflies.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Card Base:

    1. Cut Peach Pie cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

    2. Cut Basic White cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4". Before adding it to the card front, add a bit of Lemon Lime Twist ink with a Blending Brush, especially focusing on the top left and bottom right corners.

    3. Cut out a circle with the 'Spotlight on Nature' Dies and add a bit of Lemon Lime Twist to it as well. Add to card with Stampin' SEAL.

  2. Decorative Elements:

    1. Colour a piece of Basic White cardstock using Blending Brushes and Peach Pie ink. Then cut out the large butterfly.

      1. Layer with the detailed butterfly, cut out from Peach Pie DSP (from the In Colour DSP).

      2. Then add the body of the butterfly in Basic Black.

      3. Add butterfly to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

    2. Cut out 2 leaf shapes in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Any leaves will do, I used the 'Country Flowers' Dies. Add to card.

    3. Layer leaves with a couple of the small butterflies. I actually stamped mine first, one in Lemon Lime Twist and one in Daffodil Delight. Then when I cut them out, they had a fun pattern to them.

  3. Sentiment:

    1. Stamp sentiment in Black and cut out with the label die (from 'Beautiful Butterflies' Dies).

    2. Add to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I finished off the card with a few Peach Pie gems. What fun colours! Thanks for the great inspiration Connie!
