Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! For the next few weeks we are spending time casing each other's cards. Casing means to copy or create using a similar look to the original card. This week we are casing Debbie Henderson's cards, by using the same layout and colour combo. I loved this fun bright card she made recently and had fun recreating it!
For my card, I did use the same layout and colours, but just changed up the stamp set to give it a different look.
Materials Used
These were the main inspiration for my card:
DSP: I used the same DSP, 'Friends of the Ocean', but focused more on the fun bright coloured patterns instead of the sea creatures.
Colour Combo: Summer Splash, Melon Mambo & Pumpkin Pie
Stamp Set: Memorable Blooms.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Card Base:
Cut Thick Basic White cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".
Cut one pattern of DSP to 4" x 5 1/4".
Cut coordinating pattern to 4" x 2 3/4".
Add paper to card with Stampin' SEAL.
Decorative Elements:Â
On a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White, stamp the flowers from the 'Memorable Blooms' Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black.
Colour in the flowers with Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Splash Stampin' Blends. Add to card front.
Colour the smaller flower image in the same way. Cut out with the matching die or with Paper Snips.
Sentiment:
Heat emboss in white on a 3 1/2" x 1" piece of Summer Splash cardstock. Trim the ends into a banner shape. Add to card with Stampin' Dimensionals and add the flower image on top.
Then you can finish off the card with the cute 'Sunny Day Iridescent Dots'. I love these fun summery colours!🩷🩵🧡. Thanks Debbie for the inspiration!
