Saturday Blog Hop: Deck the Halls 2024

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Let's Deck the Halls this week as we focus on projects with greenery. I was slow to getting the Golden Greenery dies, but I am so glad that I did as they make the most wonderful leaves and branches! You can keep the look simple or you can keep layering die cuts up to add some depth.

The best part is that the dies coordinate with the Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP and the Graceful Greenery Vellum as well, so you can add those images too.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Card Ideas
Materials Used

These are some of the main products I used to make this card:

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Card Base:

    1. Cut Very Vanilla Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

    2. Cut Basic White Cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and emboss with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Add to card front.

  2. Greenery:

    1. Cut out a variety of greenery using the Golden Greenery Dies. I cut out the 2 larger shapes in Old Olive and the spruce boughs in Mossy Meadow. I also cut out 2 of the images from the Graceful Greenery Vellum.

    2. Using Glue Dots, layer half of the greenery one direction and half the opposite way, meeting in the middle.

    3. Cut 20" of Gold Twisted Thread. Loop back and forth a few times and add to the centre with a glue dot.

  3. Sentiment:

    1. Using the Peaceful Season Bundle, heat emboss 'merry' in white on black cardstock and cut out with the little banner die.

    2. Then cut out 'Christmas'. The outline is in Basic White and the word is in Real Red.

    3. Add sentiments on with Stampin' Dimensionals.

    4. Finish off the card with some gold gems! I used the Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots.

These dies are my new obsession! They are going to be so much fun to use this Christmas.
