Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! I'm looking forward to another fun month of projects to inspire your own creativity! This week's theme is "Elegant Edges". I had a few favourite dies that retired this past year that were fabulous for creating edges, but I thought it would be fun to use the Round We Go Dies to create a unique edge detail to this card.
Using a Garden Green card base, I cut 1/2" off the front. Before I added a 3 3/4" x 5 3/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (this week I'm using the To Market DSP), I used the die (from Round We Go) that would typically be used to create the rosette, to cut out out a piece that I tucked behind the DSP. The fun part about the die is that you can choose a scalloped edge or a pointed edge. Then, I cut out a second one to match up from behind. This was then covered by another piece of DSP on the inside cover (same dimensions as the front).
Once you have the structure of the card complete, you can add any sentiment you like on the front. I heat embossed a sentiment from Market Goodness in white on Garden Green, cut it out with the Round We Go Dies and put it on a background of some Pecan Pie Centre Striped Ribbon and a banner piece cut out from the To Market DSP. Then, be sure not to forget your embellishments!
