Saturday Blog Hop: Halloween Magic

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! Fall is moving along and for the next 2 weeks we'll be sharing some fun Halloween project ideas with you. This week our theme was 'Halloween Magic'. I don't tend to give out Halloween cards, so I thought that it would be fun to make something that you could fit a treat inside! Special packaging for a chocolate bar? Yes please!🍫

Stampin' Up! Halloween Treat Packaging Ideas
Materials Used

I was so excited to see the cute Halloween products in the Scrapbooking Brochure and that is what I featured today:

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Box Base:

    1. Cut Basic Black cardstock to 4" x 6 1/2".

    2. On the short side, score 1/2" down both the left and right sides.

    3. On the long side, score at 3" and 3 1/2".

    4. Burnish your folds, cut to make your flaps and fold up your little box with the top open to put your goodies in.

  2. Wrap:

    1. Cut DSP to 2 3/4" x 9".

    2. Score at 4 1/4" and 4 3/4".

    3. Put a little adhesive on the bottom and each side (leaving the top free) and secure to the box base.

    4. Punch a hole in top and tie together with ribbon. (I used 16" of Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon)

  3. Sentiment:

    1. Create a background for the sentiment with any circle shape. I used the 'Round We Go' Dies to create this scalloped circle and added it on the box with dimensionals.

    2. Cut a banner piece (3" x 3/4") from coordinating DSP. Add on with dimensionals.

    3. Heat emboss sentiment in white on Gorgeous Grape cardstock and fussy cut to size. (Isn't this sentiment perfect for a "Magic" theme?!)

    4. Add any embellishments, like these cute little pumpkins from the 'More Than Autumn' Bundle and the black Sparkle Gems.

Tuck in a couple of your favourite chocolate bars and give to a friend!
