Saturday Blog Hop: Non Traditional Christmas Colours 2024

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! We're having a little fun this week with some non-traditional colours on our Christmas Cards. I actually really love it when pink is mixed in with Christmas, so I found this challenge so much fun!

The card was inspired by 2 of my favourite Christmas sets, Merriest Trees & Christmas Labels.

Materials Used

These are some of the main products I used to make this card:

• Bundle: Christmas Labels

• Colour Combo: Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Shy Shamrock & Gold

• Embellishment: Gold Twisted Thread

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Thick Basic White Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut Pretty in Pink DSP to 4" x 5 1/4". Add to card front.

2. Tree:

   1. Stamp largest tree in Shy Shamrock. Cut out with coordinating die.

   2. Cut out tree collar in Gold Foil. Add to bottom of tree and then attach tree to card front with dimensionals.

   3. Cut out 3 stars in Gold Foil and add to card as desired.

3. Sentiment:

   1. Cut out die shape in Melon Mambo. Stamp sentiment in Versamark and heat emboss in white.

   2. Add 12" of Gold Twisted Thread (loop in thirds or tie a bow) behind sentiment and then add to card.

      
      

It's actually quite a simple card, but it packs a punch in these awesome colours! What do you think? Will you try this colour combo?
