Saturday Blog Hop: Outgoing In Colors

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! This week we are giving a fond farewell to the 2023-2025 In Colors. Did you have a favourite of the 5 that are retiring? I tend to love bright colours a bit more, so I have to admit, these colours needed to grow on me a little! I think my favourite was Moody Mauve though, so I've featured it here on this week's card.

Materials Used

These were the main inspiration for my card:

• Stamp Set: If you're ever looking for a great sentiment stamp set, you definitely need to add "With You in Mind" to your collection.

• Colour Combo: Moody Mauve & Wild Wheat. The 'Wildly Flowering' DSP that I've used is actually not retiring, so you can still purchase this beautiful paper!

• New Product: Have you seen the 'Textured Notes' Dies yet? A must have! I'm going to get such great use out of these rectangles!

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Card Base:

   1. Cut Moody Mauve cardstock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score in half at 4 1/4".

   2. Cut the top DSP to 4 1/4" x 3 1/2". Add to card.

   3. Cut the bottom DSP to 4 1/4" x 2 3/4". Tear off the top of it, by ripping up so that you can see the white core of the paper. Add to card.

2. Sentiment:

   1. Heat emboss sentiment in white on Moody Mauve cardstock and cut out with the 'Textured Notes' Dies. Add to card with dimensionals.

   2. Add a few gems. I used the 'Textured Dots', which are just perfect for this card.
