Saturday Blog Hop: Pocket Card

Hello! Thanks for joining us on our Create with Stamping Friends Saturday Blog Hop! This week is all about Pocket Cards. I LOVE Pocket Cards! I'm always looking for a way to add a little pocket to my cards😁. This one focuses on using the DSP to create your pocket and with all the new DSP coming out in the new catalogue, it's going to be hard to choose which one to use!

Stampin' Up! Pocket Card. Snowy Scenes DSP
Materials Used

To make this card, I've got some sneak peeks of new products that will be coming in the new Sept - Dec 2024 Mini Catalogue! Available September 4th:

  • Bundle: The One of a Kind Bundle has the cutest snowflakes & sentiments!

  • Colour Combo: Petal Pink, Pool Party, Garden Green & Real Red

  • Paper: You are going to love cutting out the snow globes from the Snowy Scenes DSP!

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Card Base:

    1. Cut Petal Pink Cardstock to 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

    2. Cut DSP to 5 1/4" x 12". Make sure you pay attention to the direction of the pattern.

    3. Score at 4" and 8". On bottom section, cut DSP at an angle. This will be your pocket!

    4. Put adhesive on the back of the middle panel and attach to the Petal Pink base.

    5. Fold up the angle piece and put Tear & Tape on the edge to create the pocket.

  2. Card Front:

    1. Cut label piece (any shape will do, I used one from the Greetings of the Season Dies) and 2 snowflakes from Pool Party Cardstock.

    2. Fussy cut out a snow globe from the DSP.

    3. Stamp sentiment in Garden Green on Basic White cut to 2 1/2" x 1 1/4".

    4. Layer all these on your card front with Stampin' SEAL & Dimensionals.

    5. Add a bow with some twine.

  3. Inside:

    1. Cut a 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Basic White. Stamp on a few snowflakes.

    2. Layer on a 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" piece of Garden Green Cardstock to tuck in your pocket.

  4. Final Touches:

    1. Add another sentiment inside. I cut out a shape from the DSP (with Greetings of the Season Dies) and added a sentiment cut out in Basic White with the One of a Kind Dies.
