Do you ever struggle coming up with a design for your handmade card? Sometimes you just need a little idea to give your own creativity a little kickstart.
This is where card sketches come in! You use a basic layout idea and then grab your favourite products to make the cards come to life.
One of the amazing ideas in Stampin' Up!'s new Annual Catalogue is on Page 22 where you will find 22 card layout ideas!
This week on my live video (replay below), I chose 2 of these layouts, grabbed a couple of my favourite stamp sets and started creating!
The first one shows 3 smaller circles and one large. It's good to remember that you don't need to use literal circles. They can represent a stamped image, like these cute coffee cups that I used here from the Latte Love Stamp Set.☕️
This second sketch might be one of my favourites and I've done similar layouts like this before. There is a large circle in the middle with a sentiment off to the side and a bow to complete the look.
You can use that large circle as a way to make one focal point on your card. I love the Country Flowers Stamp Set and used the plant and pot as my focal point. Imagine this same card with the coffee cup or a flower or whatever is in your favourite stamp at the moment.😊
